1)9-Year-Old Alimot Osunbunmi Is The New Arugba Of Osun Osogbo.

   Osun devotees have selected 9-year-old Alimot Osunbunmi as the new Arugba after the traditional divination process, entrusting her with the revered role in the annual Osun-Osogbo Festival.
As the Arugba, Osunbunmi will lead the sacred procession, carrying a calabash filled with ritual offerings to the Osun River, a key aspect of the centuries-old festival dedicated to the Osun goddess.


2)Oyo LG Chairman Suspended Indefinitely Over Alleged Misconduct

  The Chairman of Saki East Local Government Area, Emmanuel Adedokun, has been suspended Indefinitely by the Oyo State House of Assembly over allegations of gross misconduct. The suspension, which takes immediate effect, was announced during the Assembly’s plenary on Tuesday following a petition submitted by 11 members of the Peoples Democratic Party in Saki.


3)Islamisation Agenda: NSCIA Debunks False Claims Against Sultan Of Sokoto

   The Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) has strongly refuted a viral claim circulating on social media, which falsely attributes an Islamisation agenda statement to the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar.
In a statement released on Tuesday by the council’s Deputy National Legal Adviser, Imam Haroun Muhammad Eze, the NSCIA described the allegation as “spurious, baseless, and malicious,” stressing that it was a deliberate attempt to stir unnecessary religious tension in the country.


4)Alaafin Releases His Official Title

   The Alaafin-elect, Oba Akeem Owoade has released his official title.
He made this known in a statement from the palace on Tuesday.
The statement said the Alaafin prefers to be addressed as His Imperial Majesty, Iku Baba Yeye, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade I, Alaafin of Oyo.


5)ALGON Blasts El-Rufai, Absolves Gov Sani Of Diverting LG Funds

   The Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Kaduna state chapter, has said that the allegation levelled by ex-Governor Nasir El-Rufai regarding the siphoning of funds was false, patently absurd, and ill-intentioned.
Reports recalls that the El-Rufai had accused Governor Uba Sani of diverting local government funds to purchase property in Seychelles, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.


6)Drama At Erin Ijesha Waterfall As Lady Gets Possessed, Falls Into Trance

   Tourists and visitors at the famous Erin Ijesha Waterfall in Osun State were left in shock after a young lady allegedly got possessed and fell into a trance at the sacred site.
A viral video circulating on social media which was seen by Reports captures the dramatic moment when the lady, believed to be a ‘water child’, suddenly started exhibiting strange behaviours.


7)Tinubu Declares State Of Emergency In Rivers State 

   President Bola Tinubu has declared a state of emergency in Rivers State following the protracted political crisis in the state.
Tinubu made the proclamation during a nationwide broadcast on Tuesday, suspending Governor Siminalayi Fubara, his deputy and all the members of the House of Assembly for six months.


8)Tinubu Appoints Ibas As Rivers Sole Administrator

   President Bola Tinubu has appointed Vice Admiral Onok Ete Ibas as the Sole Administrator of Rivers State.
The appointment followed the declaration of a State of Emergency in Rivers State.
By the declaration, he suspended Governor Siminalayi Fubara for an initial period of six months.


9)Emergency rule in Rivers, political manipulation—Atiku

   Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has criticised President Bola Tinubu’s declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State, describing it as “political manipulation and outright bad faith.”
Atiku accused Tinubu of being a “vested partisan actor” in the ongoing political turmoil in the state, alleging that his administration either enabled or failed to prevent the crisis.


10) Fubara’s whereabouts unknown as Military moves trucks into Rivers Govt House


   The movement of Governor Siminalayi Fubara was unknown on Tuesday night when the military moved trucks into Rivers Government House in Port Harcourt.
The trucks were placed within and outside the Government House on the first night of the State of emergency declared by President Bola Tinubu.
