 Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Alausa, on Thursday, announced the resolution of the long-standing issue regarding the mobilisation of Higher National Diploma graduates for the National Youth Service Corps.
A statement by the ministry said the decision followed a dialogue with the Director-General of NYSC.


10)2027: Atiku announces opposition coalition to challenge Tinubu.

The 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has announced the formation of a Coalition of Opposition Political Parties to oust President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
The former Vice President confirmed this while responding to a question on behalf of the opposition leaders at an ongoing press conference at the Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja.


11)FG attracts $14bn, €250m foreign investments from India, Netherlands

Nigeria has secured an investment of $14bn from India, spanning multiple sectors, according to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar.
The announcement was made during the 5th Ministerial Press Briefing in Abuja on Thursday.


12)Minimum Wage:NYSC to spend N307.6bn on Corpers' allowance.

The  National Youth Service Corps  may spend as much as N307.6bn on the mobilisation and payment of allowances to corps members.
This amount is based on the increase in corps members’ allowances, which rose from N33,000 to N77,000, as announced by the NYSC in a statement released in September 2024.

With a population of around 50,000, it is known today as a key trading hub for nearby farming communities. The people speak Ede Nago, a dialect of the Manigri-Kambolé variety. The origins of Kambolé trace back to between the 14th and 17th centuries when a renowned hunter from Ilé-Ifẹ̀, known as Ọ̀dẹ Amọn, left Nigeria in search of safer lands due to unrest back home. "Ovbigbo" or "the Law" and some members of his gang were executed by firing squad after being convicted by the defunct Bendel Armed Robbery and Firearms Tribunal presided over by Justice James Omo-Agege      Anini was born in a village about 20 miles from Benin City in present-day Edo State.
