The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Ajibola Basiru, has come under heavy fire from Nigerians following his call for a state of emergency in Osun State.Basiru, while backing President Bola Tinubu’s declaration of emergency rule in Rivers State, suggested that a similar move might be necessary in Osun.


2)Dangote Refinery Temporarily Suspends Petroleum Sales In Naira

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a temporary suspension of petroleum product sales in Naira, citing the need to align its sales currency with its crude oil procurement obligations, which are currently denominated in U.S. dollars.


3)Farmer arrested for stealing three bags of pineapples in Ogun.

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 53-year-old farmer, Oloyede David, for allegedly stealing three bags of pineapples from a fellow farmer’s plantation in Orile-Ilugun, Odeda Local Government Area.


4)Protest Killings By Suspected Herdsmen.

Panic gripped Akure, the Ondo State capital, on Wednesday as farmers took to the streets to protest the alleged killing of five people by suspected herdsmen in Aba Oyinbo community, Akure North Local Government Area.

The Delta State branch of The Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) has called on the Federal Government to as a matter of urgency send relief materials to the people of Okuama community in Delta State which is in ruins after the tragic events of March 2024, when men of the Nigerian army invaded it with devastating consequences.

7)Poor sanitation, overcrowding push meningitis deaths to 55 in Kebbie.Deaths from the outbreak of meningitis in Jega, Gwandu, Aliero, Bunza and Birnin Kebbi local government areas of Kebbi State on Wednesday hit 55, according to a senior government official.
