By Victor Olubiye A 52-year-old man, Salihu Byezhe, passed away today on the 8th of March,2025, after collapsing during Subhi (early morning) prayers at a mosque in Gudaba village, Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Thursday. Eyewitnesses said Byezhe had just finished eating Sahur (pre-dawn meal before fasting), performed ablution, and joined fellow worshippers for prayers when he suddenly slumped. Musa Dantani, a resident who witnessed the incident, recounted, “Prayers were ongoing when he suddenly collapsed. Some worshippers quickly held him and rushed him to the hospital. He was still breathing on the way, but unfortunately, he passed away upon arrival.” A medical doctor at the Kuje hospital later confirmed that Byezhe had died from complications related to high blood pressure.
