With the theme “Family First, Service Always,” the programme is expected to bring together families, community leaders, and volunteers for a day of interaction, social engagement, and service-oriented activities. The event falls under the Region 7 (Ota Axis) of the district and is being coordinated by Lion Abiodun Ifeoluwa Ogunnaiike, while Lion Bolaji Ojodokun serves as the Chairperson. The District Governor, Lion Adelaja Ademuyiwa Adeleye, is also expected to play a key role in the event.

Organizers highlighted that the programme will feature a variety of activities tailored for all age groups, including family bonding sessions, entertainment, and opportunities for community service. The initiative aligns with the Lions Club’s global mission of “impacting lives” through service.

To support the event, the group has opened a voluntary donation channel through FCMB, encouraging well-meaning individuals and organizations to contribute toward its success.

Speaking ahead of the event, coordinators emphasized that Family Ties Day is more than just a social gathering. “It is a movement to remind people that strong families create stronger societies, and service should remain at the heart of our daily lives,” a representative stated.

The event is expected to attract significant participation from residents across Ota and neighboring communities, further reinforcing Lions International’s longstanding commitment to humanitarian service in Nigeria.
