JUST IN: VIDEO—Tension Erupts at Greater Heights Interhouse Sports as Dispute Over Relay Result Sparks Brief Clashq

A brief disturbance broke out on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, during the first interhouse sports competition of Greater Heights Model School, Koboro, along Onigbedu Road, Itori, in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State, following a disagreement over the outcome of the male relay race.

The incident involved students and supporters of Owu Community Comprehensive High School (OCCHS) and Premier Comprehensive College, who had finished first and second respectively in the race.

Eyewitness accounts indicated that tensions escalated shortly after the announcement of results, with members of Premier Comprehensive College contesting the decision of the referee. The school alleged that the ruling—which placed them second—was based on claims that they crossed their lane during the race.

However, the referee maintained that Premier Comprehensive College was at fault, stating that officials had earlier warned contestants against lane violations.

According to him, concerns had also been raised before the race about the suitability of the field.

“I had informed the organizers that the field may not be sufficient and also warned the athletes not to cross their lanes, but both teams failed to adhere strictly to the instruction,” he said.

Despite the disagreement, the situation was later brought under control by officials and organizers at the venue, preventing further escalation.

Organizers confirmed that the matter had been resolved, with the initial result upheld—Owu Community Comprehensive High School retaining first position, while Premier Comprehensive College was placed second.

The event, which marked the maiden edition of the school’s interhouse sports, continued after calm was restored.

A video of the incident, recorded at the scene, has surfaced and is available on The Creativity Site’s Facebook page.

As of the time of filing this report, no injuries were officially reported, and both schools had resumed normal activities following the competition.
